Chapter 6 - Summary- Huck fights rather he wants to live with a drunk of a dad or go back to the widow. Pap struggles with death and his future. Chapter 7- I fool pap and get away. Summary- Huckleberry leaves his dad and he sets it up to pretend like someone killed him. Chapter Six Pap gives his speech, in his speech he reveals that he is very racist and doesn’t care about black people at all, he hates them. At the end of the chapter Huck gets a hold of Paps gun and aims it at him while he’s sleeping on the couch.
Chapter Seven Huck escapes from Paps house floating down stream in a canoe to Jackson Island. He stole many things of Paps to survive, on his way to the island he came very close to interacting with a sober Pap. When he made it to his destination he heard a big monstrous voice yelling in the distance in a lumber-raft about a mile away.
Chapter Eight Jim runs away to the island and finds Huckleberry Finn and explains his banishment. Explaining how he over heard Mrs. Watson talking about selling him for 800 dollars to a slave trader that would take him to New Orleans, away from his family.
Chapter Nine Jim and Huck make a hiding spot to prevent any possible visitors from seeing them. The river floods and washes a washed out house down the river and inside they find a dead body that’s been shot in the back. They take money out of the dead guy’s jacket.
Chapter Ten Due to Hucks “bad luck” he makes Jim get bitten by a rattle snake, hours later Huck dresses up as a woman to try and gain a little more knowledge about Jim and Huck (themselves) from Ms. Loftus.
Chapter Eleven Huck gets into the house has a conversation about themselves with Ms. Loftus. She then gets suspicious and doesn’t believe that Huck is really a girl so they make a run for it. Everyone thinks that Huck is dead and Jim or Pap is responsible for his death. She tells her men that she thinks that they are at Jackson Island so her men looked forward to visiting that later on.
Chapter Twelve Huck and Jim go on a trip in there raft, on their 5th night there in St. Louis. They find a huge wrecked steamboat. With Jim saying not to do so Huck approaches the boat and claims he hears two robbers threatening to let the third guy drown with the boat. Huck tells Jim they need to cut the robbers boat so they don’t get away. However, their boat got cut loose without notice.

Chapter 6 - Huck's father kidnapped him to live in a shack on the river and beat him daily. His father continues to be angry with everybody who seems to live a better life than him. While Huck doesn't like the beatings, he likes living in the wild and doesn't want to return to the Widow Douglas. He wants to run away.
Chapter 7 - Huck runs away by faking his own death and riding down the river in a canoe that he found. At the end of the chapter, he finds Jackson's Island.

Chapter 11 - Huck starts talking to a woman he met in town. At first he tells the woman his name is Sarah. After she gives information about a reward for Pap and Jim, Huck slips up and tells her his name is Mary. The woman figures out he is a runaway.
Chapter 12 - Huck and Jim start down the river again. They find a wrecked steamship and when they go on it, the stumble upon someone trying to kill someone. When they try to leave, their raft has gone down the river.

The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn Summaries (6-12)
Chapter 6 - Huckleberry's pap (Father) takes him from the widow and moves down the river crossing to Illinois and imprisoned his son inside of a wooden cabin with no Windows. He held him for 3 months. Pap got really drunk and had a horrible dream of devilish spirits holding on to him, so he chased Huck around the cabin saying that he is the "Angel of Death," attempting to kill his own son. Huck grabbed a gun as his father passes out into sleep and points it at him patiently waiting for pap to make a move towards him.
Chapter 7 - Huck's Pap woke up with no memory of what happened last night, so he tells Huck to fetch some fish for breakfast, while attempting to catch fish he finds an abandon Canoe. Huck hides the canoe to use to help him transport smoothly, when he decides to sneak out the cabin. As his father goes back into town to self a cart coming down the river, Hick manages to saw his way out of the cabin and row down the river all the way to the Illinois shore line.
Chapter 8 - Pap and people from the town is looking for the remains of Huckleberry. Jim ram away from the town the night Huckleberry allegedly was killed. Jim ran away from Miss. Watson's home because she was going to sell him for 800 dollars and send him to New Orleans. Jim Tells Huckleberry that he will be rich.UN the future because he has hair on his chest and arms.
Chapter 9 - Jim and Huckleberry discovers a closed civilized place, where a dead naked man was laying on the ground, they took all his possessions that they think they would need. They officially became close since they both moved away, and became partners living together.
Chapter 10 - Jim and Huckleberry was debating about touching a dead snake's skin is bad luck or not, so Huckleberry had killed a rattlesnake and laid it by Jim's foot and the rattlesnakes mate came along to curl with the dead snake, then the bad luck began the snake's mate but Jim on the heel. Huckleberry dresses up as a girl and asks an old woman that is new to the town what ever he wanted to know.
Chapter 11 - The old lady tell Huckleberry that there is a reward for Jim because he went missing the night Huckleberry was allegedly killed. So Jim is the suspect for the death of Huckleberry. (Even though Huckleberry is still alive)
Chapter 12 - After getting information that a group of men are heading to Huckleberry anud Jim's camp site, Huckleberry and Jim took the raft and close call the way to St. Louis and they acted there for days.. one night they discovered a ship wreck in the middle of the night, and aboard to see what's inside of the steamboat. Huckleberry saw two men (Jake Packard, Bill) standing over one man (Jim Turner) debating whether to kill him or not. They decide not to kill him just yet, the planned to throw him over board, so they left him alone and Huckleberry is attempting a get away plan and to have the sheriff catch the two killers.

Chapter 8 The morning after Huck sees a boat in the water passing by the island carrying a lot of the community. They were searching for Huck so Huck hid quietly taking what they set out for him. On the island he saw Jim the slave who escaped before he was sold by Miss Watson.
Chapter 9 Huck and Jim hide in a cave to stay protected from the storm which wipes out there shelter. They then make a boat and lay in the bottom of it and set out back to the island.
Chapter 10 Huck wonders about the dead body they saw in the cave, but Jim warns him that it causes bad luck. It did and it was bad timing. Huck put a dead rattlesnake near Jim as a joke and his mate comes along and bites Jim. Jim’s leg heals after a week though. They then went ashore so Huck can get information, Jim made Huck disguise himself as a girl.
Chapter 11 Huck is in a shed with a new town lady whom he had thought didn't know about his “murder.” He told her his name was Sara Williams. but after suspicions increased shen realized he was really a runaway male. He then gave her another fake name as George Peters; meanwhile, the lady had sent her husband to check out Jackson island because she saw smoke coming from the island. Huck leaves with Jim after setting a decoy fire.
Chapter 12 Huck and Jim have been sailing down the river for five days and then come acoss a wrecked boat. Huck over hears robbers talking about killing a victim and quickly escaped. They’ve only been surviving off of their robbery, purchases, and huntin, but they quit the robbery because Huck felt remorse.

He then rows to Jackson Island.

Huck is stuck in the cabin and can’t get out but overtime he is starting to like living like that again.
Chapter 7 - After pap gets drunk and falls asleep, he wakes up and doesn’t know what happen. While Pap leaves the cabin Huck tries to saw his way out of the cabin. Huck makes his way out of the cabin and runs away. Huck makes camp far away from the cabin and tries not to be seen by Pap.
Chapter 8 - In chapter 8 people are on the ferry boat searching for Huck’s body because they think he is dead. Huck stays on the island for two days making camps and eating fish. Jim shows up because he ran away because miss watson was going to sell him when she promised she wouldn’t.
Chapter 9 - Huck and Jim find a cave and make a camps inside of it to stay safe. Jim predicts its going to rain because of the way the birds were flying. Jim and Huck find a dead body in a house that flowed down the river. Huck and Jim almost are seen but they make it back to the cave safe.
Chapter 10 - Jim warns Huck that he has bad luck because of the snakeskin he found. Jim gets bit by a snake and his leg swelled up but gets better after a while. Huck disguises himself as a girl so that he can get information.
Chapter 11 - Huck goes to the lady’s shack and says his name is sarah williams. They talk about Huck’s murder and how Pap and Jim were suspects and how Pap almost got lynched.
Chapter 12 - Hick and Jim floated down river and tried not to be seen. They steal a few thingsd so that they can eat and survive.
Huck’s Dad is known as the drunk man of the town. He hates the fact that Huck is more educated than him and has more money, so he kidnaps Huck.
Jim runs away because he doesn’t like how Miss Watson treats him. He also doesn’t like the fact that she was going to sell him to a man in New Orleans for $800

He sets it up so it looks like Huck died but he just faked it to get away from his dad. Chapter 8: In Chapter 8 after being alone on the island for a while he finds that he's not the only one on that island. He meets this guy named Jim, and Huck learns why Jim is there and how Jim makes his money. Chapter 9: In Chapter 9 while Huck and Jim are on the island they hear a big storm is coming! So they hide in a cave a see a scary dead body. Then when the storm is over the come out to the island. Chapter 10: In chapter 10 Huck keeps thinking about the dead body and Jim just tells him to forget about it because bad luck might happen. Also Huck tries to be funny and scared Jim with a rattle snake! But the snake ends up biting Jim leaving him with a swollen leg. Chapeter 11: In chapter 11 Huck dresses up as a girl for Jim. So Huck meets a girl in town and says his name is Sarah. Then Huck is talking to the women and she starts telling him about the reward for the runaways an Huck gets nervous then says his name is Mary ! So the women realizes that he's a runaway, so he runs away. Chapter 12: In Chapter 12 Jim and Huck are still hiding on the island while enjoying life stealing and hunting food. Huck over hears two robbers talking so he cuts the line to their boat to stop them. Hucks Dad is a bad father because he's not caring for his son as much as he should. And he's a drinker and that's a bad habit to have. I honestly don't think that Hucks dad is a good person. 1. What was the man doing on the ship with a dead body? 2. Who were those two robbers and why would Huck stop them even though he stole?

Summary- Because of the Huck's forgetfulness and the bad luck he gained by touching snakeskin Jim gets bit by a Rattlesnake. Huck dresses like a girl to go see whats happening and he ends up at this ladies home.
Chapter 11- They're After Us
Summary- Huck got information from Ms. Loftus about him and Jim everyone blames it on Jim since he run off the same as Huck supposedly got murdered. Huck and Jim leave from Jackson Island because they are being hunted.

Summary- Huck noticed a ship wreck and wanted to go check it out he kept saying "What would Tom do"? Jim left when he heard people on the boat Huck witnessed murders and the raft broke apart.

Huck escapes from Paps house floating down stream in a canoe to Jackson Island. He stole many things of Paps to survive, on his way to the island he came very close to interacting with a sober Pap. When he made it to his destination he heard a big monstrous voice yelling in the distance in a lumber-raft about a mile away.

Jim runs away to the island and finds Huckleberry Finn and explains his banishment. Explaining how he over heard Mrs. Watson talking about selling him for 800 dollars to a slave trader that would take him to New Orleans, away from his family.
Chapter Nine
Jim and Huck make a hiding spot to prevent any possible visitors from seeing them. The river floods and washes a washed out house down the river and inside they find a dead body that’s been shot in the back. They take money out of the dead guy’s jacket.
Chapter Ten
Due to Hucks “bad luck” he makes Jim get bitten by a rattle snake, hours later Huck dresses up as a woman to try and gain a little more knowledge about Jim and Huck (themselves) from Ms. Loftus.
Chapter Eleven
Huck gets into the house has a conversation about themselves with Ms. Loftus. She then gets suspicious and doesn’t believe that Huck is really a girl so they make a run for it. Everyone thinks that Huck is dead and Jim or Pap is responsible for his death. She tells her men that she thinks that they are at Jackson Island so her men looked forward to visiting that later on.
Chapter Twelve
Huck and Jim go on a trip in there raft, on their 5th night there in St. Louis. They find a huge wrecked steamboat. With Jim saying not to do so Huck approaches the boat and claims he hears two robbers threatening to let the third guy drown with the boat. Huck tells Jim they need to cut the robbers boat so they don’t get away. However, their boat got cut loose without notice.

While Huck doesn't like the beatings, he likes living in the wild and doesn't want to return to the Widow Douglas. He wants to run away.
Chapter 7 - Huck runs away by faking his own death and riding down the river in a canoe that he found. At the end of the chapter, he finds Jackson's Island.

Chapter 11 - Huck starts talking to a woman he met in town. At first he tells the woman his name is Sarah. After she gives information about a reward for Pap and Jim, Huck slips up and tells her his name is Mary. The woman figures out he is a runaway.
Chapter 12 - Huck and Jim start down the river again. They find a wrecked steamship and when they go on it, the stumble upon someone trying to kill someone. When they try to leave, their raft has gone down the river.
**Hucks Dad - He is always mad at everybody. He thinks the government is bad. He is mad at Judge Thatcher for not letting him have Huck's money. He doesn't like smart black males that have been to school. He is a drunk, he hurts himself and he is a perfect example for racism and bigot.

The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn Summaries (6-12)
Chapter 6 - Huckleberry's pap (Father) takes him from the widow and moves down the river crossing to Illinois and imprisoned his son inside of a wooden cabin with no Windows. He held him for 3 months. Pap got really drunk and had a horrible dream of devilish spirits holding on to him, so he chased Huck around the cabin saying that he is the "Angel of Death," attempting to kill his own son. Huck grabbed a gun as his father passes out into sleep and points it at him patiently waiting for pap to make a move towards him.
Chapter 7 - Huck's Pap woke up with no memory of what happened last night, so he tells Huck to fetch some fish for breakfast, while attempting to catch fish he finds an abandon Canoe. Huck hides the canoe to use to help him transport smoothly, when he decides to sneak out the cabin. As his father goes back into town to self a cart coming down the river, Hick manages to saw his way out of the cabin and row down the river all the way to the Illinois shore line.
Chapter 8 - Pap and people from the town is looking for the remains of Huckleberry. Jim ram away from the town the night Huckleberry allegedly was killed. Jim ran away from Miss. Watson's home because she was going to sell him for 800 dollars and send him to New Orleans. Jim Tells Huckleberry that he will be rich.UN the future because he has hair on his chest and arms.
Chapter 9 - Jim and Huckleberry discovers a closed civilized place, where a dead naked man was laying on the ground, they took all his possessions that they think they would need. They officially became close since they both moved away, and became partners living together.
Chapter 10 - Jim and Huckleberry was debating about touching a dead snake's skin is bad luck or not, so Huckleberry had killed a rattlesnake and laid it by Jim's foot and the rattlesnakes mate came along to curl with the dead snake, then the bad luck began the snake's mate but Jim on the heel. Huckleberry dresses up as a girl and asks an old woman that is new to the town what ever he wanted to know.
Chapter 11 - The old lady tell Huckleberry that there is a reward for Jim because he went missing the night Huckleberry was allegedly killed. So Jim is the suspect for the death of Huckleberry. (Even though Huckleberry is still alive)
Chapter 12 - After getting information that a group of men are heading to Huckleberry anud Jim's camp site, Huckleberry and Jim took the raft and close call the way to St. Louis and they acted there for days.. one night they discovered a ship wreck in the middle of the night, and aboard to see what's inside of the steamboat. Huckleberry saw two men (Jake Packard, Bill) standing over one man (Jim Turner) debating whether to kill him or not. They decide not to kill him just yet, the planned to throw him over board, so they left him alone and Huckleberry is attempting a get away plan and to have the sheriff catch the two killers.
Describe Huck's dad: Huck's pap is a very hostile man. He was willing to kill his own son, saying that he was the "Angel of Death." Pap would take all the money that Huckleberry would make, to buy whisky and get drunk.
Why did Jim Run away? Jim ran way from the town because he heard Miss. Watson over talking about how she was going to sell him for $800 dollars. Jim would be sent to New Orleans, so he felt that it was only right to run away and be a free man.

Hucks dad is a mean drunk who never want Huck to be bettee then him. He's greedy because he wants to take Huckleberry's money and keep it for himself. He's very racist since he thinks an African american shouldnt be better then a white man. He's a really bad guy. All Pap does is get drunk and fish.
Jim ran away because he found out Miss Watson was going to sell him and Jim did not want to be sold.

Chapter 10: Since Huck had bad luck from holding the rattlesnake skins, it came back to him. Huck hid a dead snake in Jim's blanket, but the snake's mate came back, and it bit Jim's heel. Jim drank whiskey, and by a few days the swelling in his foot and leg were gone.
Chapter 11: Huck dresses like a girl and finds a house in town and talks to a lady who says people suspect either Pap, or Jim killed Huck. The lady says men are going over to the island to check it out, and she finds out Huck isn't a girl.
Chapter 12: Jim and Huck travel to St. Louis, and they stop, and hear a bunch of robbers saying stuff about Jim. Jim thought they were talking about him, so he hid. Turns out it was another Jim. They are robbers and Huck came up with a plan to stop them.
Huck's Dad: Pap is a racist alcoholic, who is rude, and treats Huck poorly.
I believe Jim ran away because he heard that the widow was going to sell him as a slave for 800 dollars.

Chapter 6
Huck’s father continues to push Judge Thatcher for the fortune Huck gave to him. They take this to court and Huck get’s trapped in a cabin in the woods. Huck finds an axe and cuts his way out. While his drunken father comes home with a knife threatening Huck he falls out and Huck puts a rifle to him waiting.
Chapter 7
When Huck goes out to catch fish he notices a boat and starts to plot on escaping. When Huck’s dad is gone Huck’s packs the boat and leaves, leaving a fake murder scene behind him. He set out to Jackson island.
Chapter 8
The morning after Huck sees a boat in the water passing by the island carrying a lot of the community. They were searching for Huck so Huck hid quietly taking what they set out for him. On the island he saw Jim the slave who escaped before he was sold by Miss Watson.
Chapter 9
Huck and Jim hide in a cave to stay protected from the storm which wipes out there shelter. They then make a boat and lay in the bottom of it and set out back to the island.
Chapter 10
Huck wonders about the dead body they saw in the cave, but Jim warns him that it causes bad luck. It did and it was bad timing. Huck put a dead rattlesnake near Jim as a joke and his mate comes along and bites Jim. Jim’s leg heals after a week though. They then went ashore so Huck can get information, Jim made Huck disguise himself as a girl.
Chapter 11
Huck is in a shed with a new town lady whom he had thought didn't know about his “murder.” He told her his name was Sara Williams. but after suspicions increased shen realized he was really a runaway male. He then gave her another fake name as George Peters; meanwhile, the lady had sent her husband to check out Jackson island because she saw smoke coming from the island. Huck leaves with Jim after setting a decoy fire.
Chapter 12
Huck and Jim have been sailing down the river for five days and then come acoss a wrecked boat. Huck over hears robbers talking about killing a victim and quickly escaped. They’ve only been surviving off of their robbery, purchases, and huntin, but they quit the robbery because Huck felt remorse.

Why didn’t Huck save the victim?
If Miss Watson didn’t make a decision on whether or not to sell Jim, why’d he run away?
Describe Huck’s dad
He’s very pushy and demanding, but he has no power. He’s a dead beat who doesn’t provide and he’s no good.
Why did Jim run away?
He thought he was going to be sold to a slave owner by Miss Watson.

Huck then tries to free himself with an old saw that he found and Pap stops him just as he’s about to get free. Later, Pap wakes from a drunken sleep and chases him around with a knife while calling him the “Angel of Death”
Chapter 7:
After waking up Pap forgets about his drunken rampage and sends Huck to check if any fish had been caught. As Pap leaves Huck finishes sawing the whole he started. Huck then shoots a wild pig outside, breaks the cabin door, and slits the pigs throat so that it bleeds onto the dirt floor. As Huck’s in the canoe he falls asleep and wakes to see Paps rowing by. He then rows to Jackson Island.
Chapter 8:
The next morning a ferry boat passes Jackson Island carrying some of the town members. As this event is taking place Huck catches one of the loaves of bread and eats it. Huck also finds Jim while exploring the island.
Chapter 9:
Huck and Jim hide out in a cave as a storm passes by. They find a house floating down pass the island with a dead man inside of it. Huck and Jim take the man’s supplies and begin to live together.
Chapter 10:
Huckleberry Finn and Jim have a talk about bad luck. Then, as a joke Huck puts a dead snake next to Jim as he’s sleeping but his mate comes and bites Jim’s leg. Huck then disguises himself as a girl and explores the island. On his journey he finds this looks to be 40 year old women.
Chapter 11:
The lady questions Huck but, Huck does not blow his cover as he blows his female cover. The lady then tells Huck about how her husband will be out exploring the island looking for Jim. Huck and Jim quickly pack their things and leave.
Chapter 12:
One night Huck and Jim come upon a wrecked steamboat. Without Jim’s permission. On the verge of looting it he overhears robbers threatening to kill a third. After this event Huck tells Jim that they must cut the robber’s boat lose to prevent them from escaping.

Chapter 6 - In chapter 6 pap still is threatening Judge Thatcher and he kidnaps Huck and takes him to a cabin in the woods. Pap is upset that Judge Thatcher delayed the court date for Huck’s money. Huck is stuck in the cabin and can’t get out but overtime he is starting to like living like that again.

Chapter 8 - In chapter 8 people are on the ferry boat searching for Huck’s body because they think he is dead. Huck stays on the island for two days making camps and eating fish. Jim shows up because he ran away because miss watson was going to sell him when she promised she wouldn’t.
Chapter 9 - Huck and Jim find a cave and make a camps inside of it to stay safe. Jim predicts its going to rain because of the way the birds were flying. Jim and Huck find a dead body in a house that flowed down the river. Huck and Jim almost are seen but they make it back to the cave safe.
Chapter 10 - Jim warns Huck that he has bad luck because of the snakeskin he found. Jim gets bit by a snake and his leg swelled up but gets better after a while. Huck disguises himself as a girl so that he can get information.
Chapter 11 - Huck goes to the lady’s shack and says his name is sarah williams. They talk about Huck’s murder and how Pap and Jim were suspects and how Pap almost got lynched.
Chapter 12 - Hick and Jim floated down river and tried not to be seen. They steal a few thingsd so that they can eat and survive.

Huck’s Dad is known as the drunk man of the town. He hates the fact that Huck is more educated than him and has more money, so he kidnaps Huck.
Jim runs away because he doesn’t like how Miss Watson treats him. He also doesn’t like the fact that she was going to sell him to a man in New Orleans for $800

Chapter 6: In chapter 6 after what happened with his dad huck still goes to school. Hucks dad tries to sue the judge because of the that Huck got. And Huck got kidnapped and Huck got chased by Pap with a knife because he was drunk.
Chapter 7: In chapter 7 Huck pretends to kill himself ! He sets it up so it looks like Huck died but he just faked it to get away from his dad.
Chapter 8: In Chapter 8 after being alone on the island for a while he finds that he's not the only one on that island. He meets this guy named Jim, and Huck learns why Jim is there and how Jim makes his money.
Chapter 9: In Chapter 9 while Huck and Jim are on the island they hear a big storm is coming! So they hide in a cave a see a scary dead body. Then when the storm is over the come out to the island.
Chapter 10: In chapter 10 Huck keeps thinking about the dead body and Jim just tells him to forget about it because bad luck might happen. Also Huck tries to be funny and scared Jim with a rattle snake! But the snake ends up biting Jim leaving him with a swollen leg.
Chapeter 11: In chapter 11 Huck dresses up as a girl for Jim. So Huck meets a girl in town and says his name is Sarah. Then Huck is talking to the women and she starts telling him about the reward for the runaways an Huck gets nervous then says his name is Mary ! So the women realizes that he's a runaway, so he runs away.
Chapter 12: In Chapter 12 Jim and Huck are still hiding on the island while enjoying life stealing and hunting food. Huck over hears two robbers talking so he cuts the line to their boat to stop them.
Hucks Dad is a bad father because he's not caring for his son as much as he should. And he's a drinker and that's a bad habit to have. I honestly don't think that Hucks dad is a good person.
